Beale & Co adds D&O and professional indemnity Partner in London
Monday, 7th February 2022Beale & Co, a specialist in professional indemnity legal services, has appointed Ross Baker as a Partner to its team in London.
Ross is an experienced directors and officers (D&O) liability and professional indemnity lawyer, with strong (re)insurance coverage expertise, focusing on claims against D&Os, property professionals, accountants, financial intermediaries, brokers and solicitors.
He has defended numerous high value and complex claims involving allegations of breach of warranty of authority, fraud, misrepresentation, breach of fiduciary duty and negligence. His D&O expertise includes claims involving breaches of directors’ duties, regulatory investigations, insolvency issues, Equality Act breaches, defamation claims, shareholder disputes, trustee disputes and data protection breaches.
Ross is recommended in the Global Guide of Who’s Who Legal for Professional Negligence and is noted as a “standout individual” by the Legal 500 who also recommend him for Insurance and Reinsurance Litigation where he was recently recognised as a “master strategist” and “fantastic team player”. His work in this area covers key insurance issues including fair presentation, double insurance, attribution of knowledge, effects of criminal acts and dishonesty, aggregation and allocation of claims.
