May 2025Beale & Co has advised international engineering consultant Royal HaskoningDHV on its acquisition of maritime engineers Arch Henderson.
Royal HaskoningDHV is an independent international consultancy since 1881, combining engineering, design and consultancy services with software and technology. It has offices in 30 countries, employing 5,800 professionals worldwide.
Founded in 1919, Arch Henderson offers specialist services in the design of harbour works, coastal protection schemes and ship repair facilities. Its multi-disciplinary services operate throughout the UK and abroad, serving clients including ports and harbour authorities, ship builders, major oil companies, offshore service companies, local authorities and NHS Trusts.
Building on Arch Henderson’s track record on maritime defence infrastructure across the Clyde estate in the Glasgow area and Royal HaskoningDHV’s experience at Portsmouth and Devonport naval bases, the team can now jointly expand its specialist civil, structural and architectural services to naval bases in the UK and allied nations.
