Zoe White

Associate

London

Zoe is an Associate in the London office with a background in professional negligence and insurance.  She has gained valuable experience on a wide range of contentious matters and advises on professional negligence disputes and directors and officers (D&O) liability, both in the UK and internationally.

Zoe has a background in dealing with financial risk claims involving accountants, D&Os, solicitors, and educational establishments. She is also experienced in a variety of alternative dispute resolution methods and has a background in advising insurers on policy coverage issues.

Prior to joining Beale & Co, Zoe trained and qualified as a Solicitor at a UK law firm where she gained significant experience of pre-action and litigated disputes against a broad spectrum of professionals.  During her training contract, she was seconded to the Dispute Resolution team of a major UK supermarket. Whilst on secondment, she was responsible for the day-to-day handling of contentious disputes arising from consumers and suppliers. She was subsequently awarded Trainee Lawyer of the Year.

Notable cases –

  • Assisting in securing the strike out of a claim for £78 million against court appointed receivers in respect of their sale of Blackpool Football Club and related property assets on the grounds that the claim was an abuse of process and that the receivers derived immunity from the High Court’s prior approval of the proposed sale – Denaxe Ltd v (1) Paul Cooper (2) David Rubin [2022] EWHC 764 (Ch);
  • Pursued a multimillion pound commercial agency law claim in the London Circuit Commercial Court concerning a dispute arising out of the termination of an agency agreement in relation to international oil and gas pipeline contracts.
