James is an Australian admitted solicitor having worked for a leading international law firm in the litigation and regulatory teams in Sydney and London for the previous four years before joining Beale and Co.
James acts for both insurers and contractors. For Insurers, James predominantly acts defending insured construction professionals (including engineers, architects and approved inspectors) and providing coverage advice on a large range of policies, including professional indemnity, property, and D&O policies. James also acts for contractors in disputes arising out of NEC, JCT and other forms of construction contracts.
Clients that he has worked for include London market underwriters, large international contractors and large international and Australian insurers.
James has been involved in various dispute resolution processes, including litigation, adjudication and mediation, in superior Australian Courts and the United Kingdom.
