James is an Australian admitted solicitor who James regularly acts for both insurers and contractors. James has been involved in various dispute resolution processes, including litigation, adjudication and mediation, in superior Australian Courts and the United Kingdom.
For Insurers, James predominantly acts defending insured construction professionals (including engineers, architects and approved inspectors) and providing coverage advice on a large range of policies, including professional indemnity, property, and D&O policies for insured disputes both international and domestic.
When acting for contractors, he advises predominantly on disputes arising out of NEC, JCT and other forms of construction contracts.
Clients that he has worked for include London market underwriters, large international contractors and large international and Australian insurers.
Prior to joining Beale and Co, James worked for a leading international law firm in the litigation and regulatory teams in Sydney and London for four years.
