Webinar: Taking Stock of the Practical and Legal Implications of BIM

Wednesday, 16th September 2015
London

Description

Andrew Croft (Beale & Company) and Casey Rutland (Arup Associates) speak about current best practice in relation to BIM and the legal issues to consider in relation to BIM.

The UK construction industry has made significant progress in the adoption of Building Information Modelling (BIM), following the UK Government’s mandate to use BIM on all public sector projects by 2016. Whilst this progress has been very rapid it has not been consistent across the industry, so it is important to have clarity as to what BIM means. Given the speed at which progress has been made it is also important to ensure that your organisation does not fall behind the curve.

This talk considers:
• What “BIM” actually means and how it impacts on the design process;
• Current best practice in relation to BIM, both at an organisational and project level;
• Common legal questions regarding the use of BIM; and
• How BIM is being reflected contractually.

Is your organisation keeping up with the rapid pace of BIM adoption in the UK? This webinar will provide useful guidance for your “BIM journey”.
