Sarah Conroy

Dublin

Sarah has extensive experience of insurance litigation and commercial litigation, acting for clients before the Commercial Court, the High Court and Tribunals of Inquiry.

She has acted for insurers and self-insured clients in relation to all types of professional indemnity claims, including claims made against financial services providers, accountants, insurance brokers and other professionals, including architects and engineers.

She has experience in the areas of maritime litigation, financial services litigation, general commercial litigation, aviation litigation, product liability litigation, construction and judicial review.

As well as insurers, she acts for financial institutions, multinationals, ship owners, semi-state bodies and various self-insured clients. She acts for financial institutions in relation to negligence claims mounted by customers and investors in the High Court and in relation to complaints made to the Financial Services and Pensions Ombudsman.

Sarah also has extensive experience of contentious and non-contentious employment matters. She has appeared for clients before the Workplace Relations Commission, the Labour Court and the High Court. She has acted for insurers and self-insured clients in relation to employer liability claims over the years.

Sarah has contributed articles to the Law Society Gazette and to international publications on the topic of e-discovery. She also co-authored the Irish chapter of “Professional Secrecy of Lawyers in Europe” published in 2013. She has lectured on the Law Society of Ireland’s professional diploma courses.

Before joining Beale & Co Sarah was a senior associate in the Litigation and Dispute Resolution Department of a large Dublin law firm for eight years.

Sarah is a member of the Construction Bar Association, the Health and Safety Lawyers Association of Ireland, Dublin Solicitors’ Bar Association, the Law Society of Ireland and the Law Society of England and Wales.

Sarah is recommended in the Legal 500 EMEA 2025 for Insurance and Construction.

Sarah is a CEDR accredited mediator.
