Matt Davies

Matt is a Trainee Solicitor in the London office. He completed his first seat in the Contentious Construction team, having worked on varied and challenging matters across construction defects and insurance policy coverage. He has gained experience supporting clients in mediations and industry roundtables.
He is currently on secondment to the Nuclear Legal Team at a global engineering services and nuclear organisation,. where he is gaining exposure to international complex, high value new-build, life extension and decommissioning projects.
Before joining the firm, Matt worked in a dual compliance and legal role in a firm operating out of the AIFC, and continued as a blog writer for this firm during his studies.
Matt grew up in Johannesburg, South Africa, and values the international perspective he brings to the firm. He completed the first year of an LLB at the University of Stellenbosch before moving to the UK to study at Kings College London and completed his LLB, followed by his LPC and LLM at the University of Law.
He has also been involved in the firm’s charitable initiatives, including volunteering opportunities connected with CRASH, the UK construction industry charity for which Beale & Co is a patron.
