Beale & Co further strengthens its London professional indemnity team with hire of two Partners and two Associates
Monday, 13th May 2019Beale & Co has added significant strength to its professional indemnity practice with the hire of Partners Peter Sewell and Eileen Pathiraja.
Highly recommended in the legal directories, they have significant experience dealing with claims against professionals, in particular in the construction sector, and are highly regarded within the insurance sector with a very high profile in the London market.
Peter and Eileen join the firm from DWF, where Peter was Head of the Professional Indemnity team. Whilst personally acting primarily in the construction professional indemnity field, both domestically and internationally on a wide range of construction projects, Peter is well known across the insurance sector by insurers covering professional and other risks. Similarly, Eileen has led the defence of various high value complex construction claims both in the UK and internationally with a strong background in London market insurance.
Senior Associate Tim Sheldon and Associate Toby Osborne have also joined the firm from DWF.

Peter and Eileen’s arrival means four new Partners have joined the firm in the last 6 months. In December 2018 Professional Indemnity Partners, Keith Lonsdale and Michael Salau, joined from BLM, meaning the firm now boasts over 40 lawyers in its UK professional indemnity team.
