The Procurement Bill 2022: a new and improved legal framework?

Wednesday, 20th July 2022

Description

In this webinar, Paul Henty and Ellie Eastwood discuss the eagerly awaited Procurement Bill, which was released on 11 May 2022 and had its second reading in the House of Lords on 25 May 2022. The Procurement Bill is intended to simplify and consolidate procurement law, ushering in a simpler and more flexible legal framework. The Government aims to have the new rules on the statute book by the end of this calendar year.

There are a number of significant changes tabled in the Bill, some helpful and some less helpful. This webinar will ask what the changes mean for businesses. We focus on key areas such as the new general principles in procurement, transparency and remedies for breaches and the rules relating to modifying live contracts.

We hope you learn more about these changes and the potential consequences for public procurement going forward.
