Elvanite Full Circle Limited v Amec Earth & Environmental (UK) Limited – Judgment No. 2 (Costs)

With introduction of the new costs management regime, which has been in force since 1 April 2013, the Courts have taken a strict approach in seeking to control the costs of litigation in accordance with the overriding objective. Although this case was issued prior to the new costs regime coming into force, it demonstrates the Court’s approach of meticulously analysing costs budgets and adherence to the new procedural rules when enforcing the new regime.
