Construction Contracts Bill 2010
August 2010The Construction Contracts Bill 2010 was introduced to the Seanad (upper house of the Irish Parliament) as a Private Members Bill on Wednesday, 19 May 2010. The main purpose of the Bill is to improve payment practices on cash flow and to reform the dispute procedures in the construction industry. Unlike in the United Kingdom, there is currently no legislation in Ireland which regulates practices with regard to payment in the construction industry.
