Stephen completed his training contract at Beale & Co and during that time he has been extensively involved in professional indemnity litigation and commercial litigation.
Stephen specialises in the defence of professional negligence proceedings primarily against construction professionals including consulting engineers, architects and surveyors. He also represents solicitors and law searchers and their professional indemnity insurers and has advised in respect of claims against insurance brokers.
Stephen has experience in alternative dispute resolution procedures and has acted in Commercial Court proceedings and mediations arising from Commercial Court claims.
He has extensive experience of dealing with cases in the Circuit, High and Commercial Court and regularly deals with large-scale discovery applications.
Stephen spent a period on secondment in a property department of a large law firm where he advised on various commercial and non-contentious matters including drafting and review of contract documents.
