He's a tremendous strategist and his considerable experience is incredibly valuable.

He's among the most intelligent people I have ever met. He is personable; all the teams really like him and trust him. He's always the first person to offer help and advice on things that may have not even come into my mind - he's a real asset to our business. Chambers UK 2021

Antony Smith continues to advise on a number of our major disputes. He is trusted by our insurers, endlessly imaginative when it comes to exploring ADR, and is still willing to get stuck into the detail where necessary. Legal 500 UK 2020

Antony is a Partner and the Chairman of Beale & Co, setting and monitoring the strategic direction of the business alongside the Senior Partner.

He also continues to work for clients in the insurance and construction sectors in the UK and internationally, where he is well known and widely recognised. His clients include professionals, contractors and insurers.

His overseas experience includes advising on claims in Germany, Hong Kong, the Republic of Guinea, the Middle East and, more recently, in the successful defence of a US$80m claim for delay and disruption arising out of the construction of a power station in the Philippines. His notable UK engagements include high profile litigation arising out of the Hodder Clissold Leisure Centre, the Millennium Bridge and the train tunnel collapse at Gerrards Cross in 2005.
