Natalie is an Associate in the firm’s Dubai office. She trained and qualified at Beale & Co, joining the firm’s construction, engineering and infrastructure team, specialising in dispute resolution.

Natalie has over 11 years’ experience working in the UAE and 9 years’ experience working in the construction industry. Prior to joining the firm, Natalie worked in the project and construction team of an international law firm based in Dubai, UAE.

Natalie has experience representing Government entities, employers, contractors, construction professionals and their insurers on a wide range of disputes including court litigation, arbitration and adjudication proceedings, and various methods of alternative dispute resolution, including mediation.

In particular, Natalie has significant experience of arbitration, having spent 7 years working almost exclusively on a number of high value and high profile construction arbitrations relating to projects in the UAE, including proceedings brought in respect of major residential, mixed-use and infrastructure projects.

Natalie is on the committee for the Society of Construction Law (Gulf).

Examples of Natalie's recent experience include:

  • Representing a Middle Eastern contractor in DIAC arbitration proceedings regarding the construction of an iconic skyscraper located in Dubai Marina with amounts in dispute in excess of AED 800 million.
  • Representing a leading developer based in the UAE in ad hoc arbitration proceedings bought against it by an international contractor in respect of the construction of a significantly large residential development and associated infrastructure works involving claims in excess of AED 450 million.
  • Acting for one of the largest and longest-established UK consultant design firms in the UAE in relation to a professional liability claim worth AED 1.2 billion in the Dubai Courts arising from an incident which occurred at an iconic skyscraper located in Dubai.
  • Representing a leading developer based in the UAE in DIAC arbitration proceedings bought against it by an international contractor in relation to a AED 91 million claim for loss of profit in respect of the termination of a contract for the construction of a large residential development.
